Tammy Spalding - Head of Dance and Drama Academy (Extra-curricular)

I am originally from the South West in England and come to Bangkok Patana with a wealth of experience in Performing Arts, Sport and PE. As a teenager I was fortunate enough to train as a dancer in London and New York on a Performing Arts scholarship, following this I went on to do several projects and performances on stage and TV including touring with a professional dance company and performing in the opening ceremony of the Millennium Dome (now known as the O2 in Greenwich, London).

My teaching experience is quite varied and started around 11-12 years ago. I have worked with pupils and adults of all ages teaching all styles including Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Lyrical, Commercial, Cheerleading and World Dance. I completed my QTS teaching degree in 2011 becoming a qualified teacher in Dance and PE, from there i went on to become Head of Dance at a Secondary School in the South West of England, delivering GCSE and A Level Dance along with curriculum and extra-curricular dance lessons.

Miss Tammy currently teaches the following ECAs: Dance Company, Hip Hip, Contemporary, Commercial Jazz and Conditioning for Dance.

Khun Sugus - Assistant Head of Dance and Drama Academy (Dance Specialist)

I am Khun Sugus, I am originally from Khonkhen in Thailand then moved to Bangkok in 2000 and I have been a Patana ECA provider since 2005.

In high school, I started attending Ballet classes. In 2000, I began my career as a dancer in concerts. Then I also extended my dancing career to music videos, product commercials and events. I went to Chulalongkorn University to do a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts, majoring in Dance (Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, and Tap Dance). I then went on to Louisville Ballet School in Kentucky, USA. In 2005 my teaching experience started with Rising Star Dancing Studio this did not only give me an opportunity to teach Ballet and Jazz Dance, but also widen my teaching skills in Hip-Hop Dance. I was sent to teach Ballet, Jazz Dance, and Hip-Hop Dance at Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School and Saint Andrews International School Bangkok (Sukhumvit 71).

I started working with Iyengar Yoga Studio Bangkok, where I also learned to teach yoga. Subsequently, I was sent to teach Hip-Hop Dance and yoga for children at The Early Learning Centre. At the same time, I started to work as an assistant choreographer doing events, dance competition television show, concerts and Musical Plays at Rachadalai Theatre. While teaching part time in International School and working as an assistant choreographer, I gained more and more experiences and felt confident to work as a choreographer.

Khun Sugus currently teaches the following ECAs: Ballet, Jazz, Pom Dance and Thai Dance.

Khun Siya - Assistant Head of Dance and Drama Academy (Drama Specialist)

I am Siya Ntuli, from South Africa (Johannesburg). I have acquired a broad amount of experience in drama and dance from a young age, from studying professional acting for camera and Theatre and staring in television advertisements, drama series, theatre productions, dance competitions and music videos in South Africa and in Thailand.

In the beginning of my journey I was fortunate to do an internship with a casting agency in, which helped me gain experience working with professional actors, assisting with training young new actors while developing my own acting skills.

The next step on my journey, I moved to Thailand (Bangkok) to further my studies by enrolling at The Institute of International studies in Ramkhamhaeng University to attain a (BA ENG) degree.

Meanwhile living in Bangkok, I was given the opportunity to work part time with “Curtain Up Drama” to improve my skills, teaching drama holiday camps and theatre workshops. I started teaching drama Extra-Curricular activities at varies international schools like St. Andrews, ISB, Kensington kindergarten, SISB and Ascot International school for the past 4 years.

With this gained experience I have learnt that, I enjoy working with children because it is exciting and rewarding to watch the students discovering their abilities and watching their talents excel.

Siya currently teaches the following ECAs: Y1/2 Drama, Y3/4 Drama, Y5/6 Drama, Secondary Drama, Musical Theatre and Boys Hip Hop.
